Department History

The American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Utah was chartered by the American Legion Auxiliary National Office on September 29, 1922.  We currently have 56 Auxiliary Units throughout the State of Utah.  Our mission is to serve active duty military, veterans and their families.  Our many programs also serve children and youth, communities, promote Americanism.  One of our premier programs is American Legion Auxiliary Utah Girls State.

My Department President's Project is Continue Mission.  This is a non-profit based in Utah whose mission is to serve Veterans with service connected physical, mental, and emotional injuries. They aim to inspire, empower, and involve Veterans and their families and referred Service Members in recreational and educational programs that promote health and wellness and positive life changing experiences. They are dedicated to raising mental health awareness and taking an active role in suicide prevention.  Donations will be accepted at the office.
